Drumming Mad 3, 2007 workshop and Andante masterclass details are finalised. This is a 2-day course being held in the mid-West town of Nideggen. The course theme is 'ensemble playing'. The first of a series of fantastic workshops aimed at "the band player". |

Where and when: Date: Friday, Saturday and Sunday November 2, 3 & 4, 2007 Time: Check in from Friday at 2pm, Class Organisation Friday 7pm, Recitals start at 8.30pm. All welcome. Course concluding Sunday at 3pm. The aim of the course is to provide all participants with a better understanding of pipe band ensemble playing. You will have the opportunity to learn new ways in technique to help with your musical flow. Improved individual technique will also help with better corps integration and accurate playing with the band. |

At the end of the course you will: · Have developed your intra corps playing · Have learnt a special set of rudiment phrases that help with better execution · Have a better understanding of what ensemble playing is all about Have learnt tips for instrument tuning and maintenance |

Course Timing Plan: Friday Afternoon informal pad and chanter sessions from 3pm. Checkin from 2pm. Arrival in for 6pm dinner on Friday night. 7pm Class Organisation. 20.30pm evening recitals on Friday night.. Course kick off is Saturday morning at 9am working through until 6pm. There will of course be meals and breaks (you cant play on an empty stomach!) Each day there will be an ensemble presentation by the instructors and an open question time where you can ask your favourite ensemble questions! Sunday starting at 9am and finishing at 3pm (to allow for long distance travellers).
